got featured in the newspaper The Khandadhar

On 19 August 2025, Maa Tarini Superspeciality Hospital of Keonjhar successfully conducted a Free Health Camp at HDFC Bank, Kashipur, as part of its continuing mission to make quality healthcare available to every section of society. Employees of the bank and local residents alike turned out in strong numbers to make the event a success, and many expressed gratitude for the easy access to essential services that the camp provided.

The local newspaper The Khandadhar marked the event with a full-page report, further underscoring the camp’s reach and significance in the community.

Services Offered at the Camp

The camp focused on primary healthcare and the promotion of preventive services. Attendees received complimentary access to the following:

  • Complete health check-ups
  • Blood pressure assessments
  • Diabetes screenings
  • Individual consultations with doctors

The absence of any charge for these services encouraged participation among those who might hesitate to seek care for reasons of cost or distance.

Medical Team and Their Contributions

A skilled group of doctors, nurses, and support staff from Maa Tarini Superspeciality Hospital conducted the camp. The team operated triage stations, examined patients, and educated the community on lifestyle changes to prevent chronic disease.

Doctor Debasis Mahanta,  guided every patient through their diagnosis, outlining the steps they needed for treatment and the follow-up care they would benefit from. Under his direction, the clinic operated in a steady flow of expertise and reassurance.

Ms. Sujata Giri, the Nursing Supervisor, ensured smooth coordination of patient care.

Staff Nurses Bhagyashree Nayak and Sharmistha Behera worked diligently to assist in examinations and patient management..

The camp’s success is close to the heart of our Managing Director, Dr. Ganeshwar Mahanta, who believes healthcare begins wherever the patient is, not just in the inpatient bed. With the logistical support of Mr. Pramod Kumar Pani, our Chief of Operations, every volunteer and every chair was in the right place at the right time. His careful mapping of resources turned good intentions into good medicine.

We know that health is more than a medicine bottle; it is a habit, a conversation, and a decision we make together. This camp reminded the community that a check-up is a gift we keep giving ourselves, that spots of high blood pressure and early warnings of diabetes can become stories of prevention, and that whenever a doctor’s ink puts a line on a report, it can be the first step in a longer story of wellness.

A number of attendees took a moment to thank Maa Tarini Superspeciality Hospital for offering the services at no charge. For the hospital staff, the kindness of the community felt like a powerful boost, turning every effort into a shared success.

The free health camp held at HDFC Bank, Kashipur was one more chapter in that ongoing effort, once again proving the hospital’s promise to nurture a society that not only survives but also understands its health.
